The development of new gaming input devices as Microsoft Kinect sensor bar can be used for several scientific topics. For instance we are using the Kinect technology as a low cost motion capture device. The captured motions are mapped and transmitted to a robots body. In our case we are using Aldebarans Nao robot which includes 25 degree of freedom. One goal of our current research is to optimize the captured data for all parts of the robots body in realtime.
